“The First 30 Days will encourage people going through change to go from being fearful and alone to feeling optimistic and transformed.” — David Bach

The Results are in and the 30 Day Fitness Challenge has commenced.

Starting this challenge I wasn’t sure of the change that would happen- but God damn it I was gonna change!

I wanted to change the way I ate, how I worked out, and how I lived my life…

I wanted to be healthy and fit not just now – I want to be healthy and physically fit for the rest of my life! But was this possible?!

Was 30 days all I needed to save my life?!

Over the course of 30 days a new way of eating was introduced to me – PALEO!

I had never heard of such a word nor the diet before the challenge, but was very intrigued by the results people got from it and the overwhelming impact it had on people’s lives.

Not only were people loosing weight from this diet, they were avoiding symptoms of chronic diseases and health problems over 50% Americans suffer from and that 7/10 people die of !!!

Those statics are no joke!!!

And knowing that I was prone to such diseases I knew I had to change and I had to change NOW…And so I did!

I totally changed everything!

From the way I thought about food, from the way I ate food, and overall how I lived my life!

GOODBYE Grain, Dairy, and Sugars!

HELLO Proteins, Fats & Almond Milk! Mmmm!

Paleo Chart

Paleo showed me that I could still enjoy foods that were good for my body without having to starve myself, build lean muscle and decrease body fat by eating more of the right foods and cutting out the ones society puts in our faces!

And so after 30 days of eating more protein, and little to no carbs, working out 5-6 times a week, and eating more food than I ever have in my life…

Here are the Results:

  • I lost 4lbs and 2%  Body Fat

Now while that may not seem a lot, the photos below can speak for themselves.

  • I’ve packed on more lean muscle mass and decreased my body fat
  • I sleep better and have more energy to work out
  • I’ve also learned how to cook yummy foods I never knew existed!!!

Although the 30 Day Challenge is over – I will continue this Paleo lifestyle probably for the rest of my life – I can’t imagine going back and living and eating the way I use to!

In addition I’ve set another challenge:  to reach my ideal weight and body build by June 1, 2011 :)
I’ll do so by drinking a cup of green tea each day and continuing to work out 5-6 times a week.

I look forward to continue this lifestyle and living life happy, healthy and strong!
